Description
JanaMalayalam© is the name of font - a type face in Malayalam Script to be used for composing text in Malayalam language. It has been designed in Open Type format and as an ‘O.S’ font (operating system font) for Indix, using Bhartiya Shaping Engine. This version called JanaMalayalam 0.99.1 in a non-hinted text face. JanaMalayalam letters have elegant structures of thick and thin strokes. Vertical strokes contain a slight curvature and scooped ends. JanaMalayalam is recommended to be used for continuous text in minimum 14pt. size (on screen) and 10pt. size (on paper).

JanaMalayalam has been designed and developed, at C-DAC Mumbai in all respects by Prof. R.K.Joshi (TypeFont Design Director) in association withMr. Rajith Kumar K. M. (TypeFont Designer) under IndiX2 Project of TDIL, Department of Information Technology, Ministry of communications and Information Technology, Govt. of India. 2.This font has been put in public domain for its usage ‘as is’. Any changes, additions, subtractions and / or modifications of any type in its existing outlines, glyph set, tables and its name is not permitted.
